Overview
InvestorQ&A supports women entrepreneurs in strengthening their investor pitches. When I joined the team, the organization was transitioning from a research initiative into a fully established startup. This shift required a refreshed public presence, one that introduced the new brand identity, communicated the startup’s mission clearly, and engaged a wider community of founders and partners.
My role was to lead and execute a multichannel marketing strategy that aligned with InvestorQ&A’s new direction. I developed social media content, produced educational videos, managed Mailchimp campaigns, and created branded visuals that helped the organization gain visibility and credibility during a critical growth period.
Goals
We defined several high-level objectives:
→ Establish a recognizable and consistent brand presence across social, email, and video.
→ Increase engagement and attract new followers, partners, and collaborators.
→ Create educational and approachable content for women entrepreneurs.
→ Introduce the CEO as a trusted thought leader in the investor-readiness space.
→ Support event and course promotions through targeted email sequences.
Research & Insights
To guide the marketing direction, I gathered insights from:
Audience Behavior: Women founders often expressed feelings of intimidation around investment topics. Content needed to be practical, friendly, and confidence-building.
Market & Industry Trends: Similar organizations tended to use dense jargon or formal content. This revealed a gap for more approachable, narrative-driven educational material.
Platform Performance: Analysis of existing Instagram and LinkedIn posts showed higher engagement on personal, story-driven content, especially posts featuring the CEO.
Stakeholder Input: Regular conversations with the CEO clarified key messaging themes: investor education, pitch improvement, and founder empowerment.
These insights shaped the tone of voice, content types, and posting strategies across every channel.
Strategy & Execution
1. Social Media Strategy & Content Creation
I developed a streamlined content strategy for Instagram and LinkedIn focusing on branded educational content like investor terms, pitch tips, and funding insights, founder storytelling highlighting women entrepreneurs and their challenges, CEO insights — accessible explanations of complex investor concepts, and event/course promotion that were visually cohesive, clear announcements.
Execution highlights:
→ Designed branded graphics, templates, and carousel posts.
→ Edited and published short-form videos, including clips from longer vlogs.
→ Wrote captions and messaging aligned with the new brand voice.
2. Email Marketing via Mailchimp
To improve communication with the community, I created branded email templates aligned with the new visual identity, email sequences for course launches, event promotion, and updates, and newsletters featuring practical insights and educational content.
Execution highlights:
→ Writing and designing each email for clarity and engagement.
→ Managing list segmentation and scheduling.
→ Reviewing analytics to refine future messaging.
Emails helped drive awareness for events and courses while building stronger relationships with subscribers.
3. Video Content & Blog Production
Video became a key part of our content strategy. The mini goals were to humanize the brand, to make investor topics approachable, and to increase engagement across platforms.
Execution highlights:
→ Assisted in scripting and simplifying complex business concepts.
→ Edited vlogs and educational clips for social media.
→ Selected key moments from longer recordings to repurpose into short videos.
→ Ensured consistency in tone, visuals, and messaging.
These videos helped position the CEO as a knowledgeable yet relatable figure, a cornerstone of our marketing approach.
Results & Impact
Even with limited resources, our marketing initiatives created noticeable improvements in engagement and brand coherence:
→ Significant increase in engagement across Instagram and LinkedIn.
→ Stronger audience connection through video content and thought-leadership posts.
→ Improved brand consistency across all channels.
→ More polished and effective event and course promotions.
→ Positive feedback from entrepreneurs who appreciated the accessible language and friendly tone.
Overall, the marketing strategy helped introduce InvestorQ&A as a credible, mission-driven startup and expanded its visibility among women entrepreneurs and potential partners.
